SHOOTING STAR

Shooting star, bearish candle stick pattern, is an inversion of hanging man. It has a small real body and a long wick above it with little or no wick below. The candle appears at the height of uptrend. It long wick above the real body implies that resistance to the bullish trend is now encountered, and bearish trend is imminent to start. In this case, the price at the level of the previous bar's open can act as confirmation or an entry point.
